Opening the festival with Peter Tallent founder member drummer the band also includes Steve Harrop, a multi-faceted musician who has been a professional pedal steel guitarist for the last ten years. Trevor Birkinshaw, on bass, has supported Free, Manfred Mann, Yes and Chicken Shack during his 40-year musical career. Meanwhile, founder member of Green Mac, Peter Tallent, lays down a driving beat on the drums. Peter says: 'We also push the blues boundaries by playing some of the blues rock improvisation that Fleetwood Mac became really famous for when they toured with the Grateful Dead.
THE BLUES DEVILS
A storming climax to the night with a four piece harp lead bluea band formed five years ago, and with their sharp suited appearance matched by their raw and aggressive Chicago electric blues style grove. Lead vocalist and harpist Kenny Boag, guitarist Bert Richards who been playing his hard edged lead for over twenty years with a later convert to the blues bassist Dave Proctor adds vocals and is joined, last but not least by drummer Jim Miller a life long blues follower. A good time is guaranteed.
